Pharmacy Accounting & Financial Reporting
The statements are read from the entries operations already produced, not assembled from a spreadsheet afterwards.
The problem
Pharmacy software usually exports to accounting. That export is where the month-end reconciliation comes from, and the reconciliation is where the errors live.
How it works
What Ingata PharmaPlus does about it
- 1
Operational events post as they happen
Receiving stock raises the inventory and the payable together. A sale posts revenue and relieves inventory at the dispensed batch’s cost. A write-off moves the loss to an expense.
- 2
Control accounts bound by role
The software asks for the Accounts Payable role rather than account 2100, so each pharmacy keeps its own chart numbering and postings still land correctly.
- 3
Statements read from the same entries
Trial balance, income statement, balance sheet and general ledger are views over the postings, per branch or organisation-wide.
- 4
Corrections are reversals
Nothing is corrected by editing history. A reversal posts a balancing entry, so what happened stays readable.
Included
What you get
Each of these is a behaviour in the product, not a planned one.
- Chart of accounts with role-bound control accounts
- Automatic postings from receiving, sales and write-offs
- Manual journals alongside them
- Trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, general ledger
- Per-branch or organisation-wide reporting
- VAT handled as configuration rather than a fixed rate
Where it lives in the product
Signed-in users reach this module at /dashboard/bookkeeping/accounts. Access depends on the role your System Administrator assigned — permissions are checked on every request, so a role that cannot use a module cannot reach it by URL either. The roles are listed on the about page.
Pricing
This module is part of the platform rather than an add-on. See plans and pricing, or the frequently asked questions for how dispensing, branches and the books fit together.
Related capabilities
- Suppliers & PurchasingA supplier balance you can break down line by line, because every payable names the supplier it belongs to.
- Inventory ManagementStock held as batches rather than a single number per product — so what you own, what it cost and when it expires are all answerable.
- Multi-Branch ManagementBranch separation that a modified browser cannot defeat, because it is applied where the data is read.
